Terminology

The following manual describes three areas of your website. Front end, back end and modules. These terms are described below.

Frontend

The front end is the visible public section of your website, or homepage. It includes any page that is presented to a visitor.

Backend

The back end is the administration area of your website, where you edit content, pages or other settings. This area is always protected by a password that should remain secret to everyone other than those that need to access the site. Members of your website will have access to some back end features, but they are usually restricted to only access and edit their own contact information.

Module

Modules add extra functionality to your BCMS package by providing an extra admin system specifically designed to provide a specific feature.
